Dinner in HK

We%26#39;ll be in Hong Kong just a few days and am looking for a recommendation on where to have dinner. A few have recommended The Jumbo Floating Restaurant as well as the Harbor lights %26amp; Lei Mun Seafood Village Dinner Cruise. Any feedback on either would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Dinner in HK

Jumbo is really for tourists :)

I would rather go to Lei Mun. Try Gateway (end of the village so u r by the waterfront and get a nice view of the lighthouse and beyond).

If u like, u can combine a hiking trip to Lamma island with a seafood dinner at any of the restaurant along Sok Kwu Wan.

Another option is Sai Kung :

There are also many other good seafood restaurants in town but the old way rustic village setting is felt more at these places mentioned above.

Good Luck and enjoy !

Dinner in HK

DeeBlue,

Where are you staying in HKG?

Lei Yue Mun is a taxi ride from TST.

Try the %26#39;Superstar%26#39; chain of restaurants located both in Kowloon and HKG Island - they do decent Dim Sum. Mu Dan Ting restaurant on Lock Road in TST is also pretty decent.

What is revolving 66 like?

Is it all buffet or is there ala carte?

We%26#39;d like to go there for a meal but not if it%26#39;s buffet...

please advise

Cheers

I agree. Jumbo is for tourists, but that%26#39;s what we all are, right?? :)

I%26#39;m assuming you want Chinese food?? HK has pretty much every kind of cuisine you want.

If you%26#39;re looking for glamour, go to Victoria Peak, where you can dine with 180 view of the city in lights at Cafe Deco. Also Peak Lookout is very romantic and cozy, with live music. Good food and wine at both places.

If you%26#39;re looking for a more authentic feel, consider going out to Sai Kung and eating fresh seafood. There are many restaurants lining the promenade there, and you can pick and choose your own live fish/lobster/shrimp from the tanks.
