Hi - we will be visiting Hong Kong on 25th June, for 2 days. Any advice/opinions on where to stay, what to do? Thanks in advance. Smithy.
First time in Hong Kong...
i prefer the Hong Kong Island side.
Closer transport linkage to the peak Tram, Aberdeen, Stanley, macau and Lantau island. causeway Bay is hectic and bustling, great shopping and markets. Also HK island has SoHo restaurants and the hillside escalator, plus the fascinating western district for medicine shops and antique souvenirs.
Kowloon is good for the Symphony of Lights.
First time in Hong Kong...
Staying in Hong Kong side or Kowloon side are both good, just avoid the New Territories as it is not convenient.
Staying in Tsim Sha Tsui or Central is better due to near the tourist area.
You can visit Victoria Habour, Peak, Mong Kok Jade street and Ladies Market, etc.
you can book accommodation and find Hong Kong things to do in the below webiste for reference:

What is your budget like?
If you can, i would suggest you stay at Island shangri-la
