We have been told that as a 1st time visitors to China we can only have 2 entries on a tourist visa. Is this true. I am CDN and partner is USA. We have to stay in HK for 6 days,does this mean that we can not take short trips to mainland China while staying in HK?

However no one is going to stop you from applying for a new visa in HK after you have used up your first double-entry visa.
