Scaffold-covered sites in Beijing?

Hi

I%26#39;m visiting Beijing shortly and wondered whether anyone could update on which attractions are covered in scaffolding? For example, last time I visitted almost all the pavillions at Jingshan park were closed for renovations.

Thanks!

Anything that was under renovation even a few months ago will be finished by now.

Beijing is undergoing, renovation and restoration, which is badly needed.

Usually it is only a portion of a cultural site, which therefore does not detract from visiting other sites.

The skill of the craftsmen and they way they are working on the renovations, is a site actually worth seeing, hand tools, and hard labour as they were built originally.

I was in Beijing from 1/20/07 to 1/26/07 and I saw buildings at the Forbidden City and the Summer Palace that were covered by scaffolding. At the Forbidden City I believe 3 of the main buildings were completely covered up and I believe only one building at the Summer Palace was covered. I also visited Behai Park and the 5 Dragon Pavillion was covered up as well. I still had a great time, but being this was my first trip to Beijing I was quite disappointed.
