Hong Kong to Guangzhou

Hi there,

I%26#39;m taking a party of 7 people to Guangzhou, via HKIA. We arrive HKIA at around 6pm, and I was wondering what the quickest and or easiest way to get us all into Guangzhou the same evening.

Should we:

Hire a minibus from HKIA direct to Guangzhou?

Take a ferry to Shenzhen and then a minibus?

Or is there a better way?

Basically I need a reasonably comfortable and quick way to get my team to Guangzhou.

Any idea on the expected cost?

Thanks in advance.

Dear Mr. / Mrs.,

The fastes way to get to Guangzhou is to take the airport express from Hong Kong Airport and get off at the Kowloon station.

There you take a cab to Hung Hom train station. (It takes around 1.5 hours from the moment you get off the plain to get to the trainstation). There you take the direct train to Guangzhou.

See www.throughtrain.kcrc.com for the time table and the costs. Please note that its smart to make a reservation when you tarvel in the fair period. The trains are very full then. This train trip takes around 1.5 hours.

This is the quickest and less stressfull way to get to Guangzhou.

Kind regards,

Thijs Visser

The last train departs Hunghom at 19:15, very likely that you won%26#39;t be able to make it.

You can take the bus from HKIA, look at Guangdong province and Guangzhou City.

Those approach and offer minibus service at the airport are illegal touts, it is not covered by insurance if anything happen.

There is a train service from Hong Hom station on Kawloon island it takes about 2 hours and arrives at Guangzhou east station. I%26#39;m not too sure of the time of the last train but you can enquire at the Hong Kong tourist office. The price is 190 HK$
