Can anyone recommend a Hotel or Hostel as a good base for Beijing? Budget of about GBP20.00 or CNY300.00 for a room? Not bothered about standard as long as its clean.

Another hotel which I would usually recommend but which doesn%26#39;t appear on that particular thread would be Tang Yue Hotel near the east gate of Forbidden City, for approximately 250 RMB onwards per night (discounted booking price, not walk-in). It%26#39;s a newish 3-star hotel with a good location, pleasant service and clean rooms.
