I would like to visit yalong bay in summer 07, however I have 2 children (7 and 8 year olds). Is there plenty of places to walk around things to keep then entertained during the days/evenings.

Strongly recommend ';Shell Exhibition Hall'; and ';Butterfly Valley';. Your kids should like them.

there are many things to see, ethnic village, monkey island, nanshan temple etc. sanya bay is good also

GBlack : Not many things for children in Yalong Bay. Saw many families there with very bored children. There can be something to experience, but it is done in 1 day. There are NO restaurants outside the hotels. That you must have in your mind.

When the children ask for water, Coke or something to eat, you have only once choice: But it at the hotel to expensive prices and bring it with you. Quite different from other places in the world.

All tourists complain about these things. Only Chinese return to Hainan for holidays, and the reason is clear: This is the only place with nice climate they can travel without apply for visa. Ps. Chinese dont go sunbathing.

Thailand has 1000 places better than Hainan, and 70 % lower prices, 100 % better service.

Yes. It is true. There are just 2 or 3 things for children, but the situation in Sanya and Dadonghai is different.

Untrue. I met a lot of Russians here and some Westerns, plenty of Koreans and Japanese, who are visiting Hainan more then one time.

No. At least they can visit Haikou (Hainan), Baihai (Gaungxi), etc.

Thailand is a COUNTRY, Hainan is AN ISLAND in a China-country. Of course in Thailand the places are more, comparing only with Hainan.

Untrue. If you have guide here, the prices are lower. Everyone knows that China is one of the most cheap countries in the World. And the inflation rate is low.

Dear, these places are in Sanya, but not close to Yalonbei.
