Anything (shops/restaurants) between the Yalong bay hotels?

Since my husband and I are planning a vacation-trip to Sanya, I was wondering, if there is anything like a ';touristical infrastructure'; between the Yalong bay hotels (shops, restaurants etc.)? Or do people basically stay at their hotels every night? Can%26#39;t find much about it in the internet . I only figured out, that there is supposed to be a shopping mall / a small centre nearby the Crowne plaza hotel.

Are there any other hotels in walking distance to that place?

We are looking for a nice hotel (5*) where you also have the possibility to have dinner outside the hotel and do some shopping?

Any recommendations?

Dear Larissa,

We just got back from Yalong Bay a couple of days ago. The Bay is very nice and the water terrific if you like swimming (though it is very strange that you can not take a swim outside the designated areas!).

However we found the Yalong Bay at nighttime extremely boring. Where are all the people? One evening we went to the beautiful bar in Crowne Plaza for a drink, we were the only guests the whole time...

You can only eat at the hotel restaurants and they are nice looking but rather expensive (compared to local restaurants in China) and the food is not really good either. So we took a taxi or bus to Dadonghai about 20 minutes from there. That was much better with a real sence of China with good restaurants and inexpensive. Also some rather good shopping. So if you want to stay in Yalong Bay (which seems to be the nicest beacharea), go to Dadonghai in the evening! The taxi one way is 50 yuan, but definitely worth it. We highly recommend the big outside restaurant near the big square and about 100 meters from the sea. Best Chinese food I麓ve had in years, and I麓ve had a few. Go there early, the Chinese tend to it around 6 or 7 pm.

Larissa28: There is NO shops, NO restaurants, NO amusement, NO bars, NOTHING between the hotels at Yalong Bay hotels. In the evenings and nights there are no people there. Its like a dead place.

Please read reports for your hotel: ';The first day i arrived things was a messed at the receptionist, everything was confirmed in Australia but once i get there it tooks them 2 days to settle it. The room was clean and the enviroment was awesome. But on the 2nd day when i back to the room after taken breakfast, the floor was very dirty and the table was messy, they didn%26#39;t cean it well. As a 5 star hotel this should%26#39;t happened. I had talk to the staff but still when they re-clean the room the problem still there. The floor still with sand the glass been used was not cleaned!!! That%26#39;s really terrible!!! Kind of dissapointed.';
