Safety of Free In-town Check-in Service???

Hi

I am wondering how safe it is to check in the luggage in town?? It sounds super convenient but will my checked in luggage arrive at the airport on time and onto the correct plane??? Will it have a higher chance of getting %26#39;lost%26#39;??

Can anyone who had tried the service before do a quick review?

Myself and friends have used this service many times and it is always been 100% efficient and reliable. You really don%26#39;t have anything to worry about, just check in and you%26#39;ll be given your boarding card then relax and enjoy the rest of the day but make sure you get to the airport at least an hour before departure. HK airport operates with impressive efficiency. You should be through immigration and security in 15 mins at the most but gates usually close 30 mins before departure.

I have done this many times and never had a problem. To use this service, you have to check-in at least 90 minutes before your flight.

i agree with the above posters, and we had a slightly different situation. on arrival at in-town checkin we were told our flight to paris was overbooked and we were going to be standby on one flgiht and confirmed on another etc...this was at 9am and the flight wasn%26#39;t until midnight. we were still able to leave our bags and enjoy our day (albeit a bit stressed out) but when we went to the airport that night they assured us our bags were in the process of being transferred from the city to the airport and our bags would get on the different flgiht we were going on...got to paris sure enough, no problem...i was impressed.

I have used this service for so many times too. Never had any problem at all. HK is a very wonderful city and you don%26#39;t have to worry about this and that and the small things that bother you like what happened in some cities. Oh, can%26#39;t wait to go back there.

Yes, used this service a zillion times, NEVER got lost. However, when I checked in the luggage myself AT THE airport, yes, they lost my luggage once. So, in my records, in town check in was even better!

Super convenient, and super efficient.... yes.... one of the beautiful things about HK!
