In town check in with Air New Zealand?

Can you check in at the MTR station if you are flying with Air New Zealand?

Thanks

In town check in with Air New Zealand?

Yes, but only on the day of departure, not on the date prior to departure.

I am flying to HK with Air New Zealand in May, what does that mean %26#39;check in at the MTR station%26#39;?? I have been to HK a few times so I know my way around the MTR.

You can check your baggage in at the Airport Express Hong Kong or Kowloon Stations instead of at the airport. Especially useful if you have an evening departure as you don%26#39;t need to be at the airport until around an hour before departure. You need an Airport Express ticket to use this service (it%26#39;s operated jointly between the MTR Corp and most of the airlines who use HK International Airport).

Vurtually all the airlines are represented there %26amp; the above posts are correct, just do some homework on the express ticket costs, there are ways to get a discounted fair, ie go in a group of 4 (or as we did very quickly formed a group) the savings bought us all a snack lunch %26amp; a coffee at the airport, from which the prices are quite modest compared to others.

We should clarify by saying that you can only check-in your luggage and get your boarding passes early at the Airport Express stations of Hong Kong and Kowloon. You cannot just check-in at any MTR stations. To use this facility, you must have purchased an Airport Express Ticket or use your Octopus card and pay the Airport Express fares before you are allowed to go through the automated gate to the check-in counters. Also, flights to the U.S.A. generally do not allow in-town check-in as there are currently special arrangements to search through your check-in luggage manually, and this is only done at the airport.

Here is a good link with good information.
