Has anyone stayed here, (can%26#39;t find any reviews anywhere about it). It has main hotel rooms %26amp; log chalets in the ground, if you have been there, any comment on which of these are best.
Merryland Resort, Guilin

Unless you are a total golf freak, you can play in England you dont need to go to the expense of coming to China, the Merryland Resort is not for you because it is quite a way out of Guilin City and you will need to travel there if you dont intend playing golf. Guilin in reality is not the best place in Guangxi for tourists for many reasons some of which are set out below.
I guess the main ones are Guilin accomodation is about $RMB100 to $RMB150 per night per room more expensive than what is available in Yangshou and whatever you can find in Guilin either natural features or entertainment it will be surpassed by what Yangshuo can offer a traveller.
