Hi,
I will be travelling to Shenzhen via East TST KCR and Tin previously stated that it would cost ~HK$35 using the Octopus Card. I%26#39;m assuming this is only a 1-way trip, therefore making it ~HK$70 for a return?
I heard that it%26#39;s possible to take a bus back down from The Peak. Where do the buses take us, how much does it cost and approx. how long will the ride take?
While visiting temples, are we allowed to take photos inside? Which are the ones worth visiting?
Lastly, I%26#39;ll be heading to Macau for a day trip and the cheapest way would be via the Ferry from Kowloon? Are concession prices valid for students studying in HK?
Cheers
KCRs and a few otherYes, ~HK$35 is one way, HK$34.8 to be exact, or HK$69.6 on ordinary class. First class double price.
Bus 15 takes you to Central Ferry Piers from the peak, costs HK$9.2, journey about 40 minutes, and goes via Wan Chai, and Admiralty.
Some temples disallow taking photos inside, they will have a sign saying it. Ten Thousand Buddha Monastery worth visiting, it is near KCR Sha Tin Station, or the Man Mo Temple in Central, or the Pak Tai Temple in Cheung Chau.
Ferry to Macau from Kowloon is slightly cheaper than those from Hong Kong Island. Don%26#39;t think there are concession prices for students studying in HK.
KCRs and a few otherMissed the important bit -
HK$69.6 *for return* on ordinary class.
