Hi,
My husband is going to Hong Kong for business and me and my son would like to join him as we%26#39;ve never been to this part of the world.
I was wondering if 2 weeks in Hong Kong is worhing or is too much for one place? I was looking for some trips to Philippines but they are quite expensive considering that this would be in plus of our trip to hong kong.
I found a lot of things to do with my kid but I wonder if there are nice beaches? What kind of sand they have? Are there nice wotels/resorts/clubs where we can just rest for 5 days or so?
Thank you,
RedFox
Hong kong 2 weeks? is it too long?2 weeks in HK is too short for some tourists .... while 2 weeks is too long for some. It depends. If you have never been to this part of the world, either you will LOVE it, or you will HATE it.
I personally think if you have 2 weeks in HK, you might want to consider taking side trips to other areas of Asia. As HK is a great city to take side trips to Japan, Korea, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia...etc.
All reachable within 3-4 hours of flight.
Most people would go to Macau for over night trip, and maybe Hainan Island for 3 days for the lovely beaches.
No really nice beach in HK, the closest is Repulse Bay, and Gold Coast... but nothing compared to Thailand%26#39;s or Hainan Island%26#39;s beaches.
Macau- Westin hotel is nice. Black sand beach. You can reach Macau from Hk by 1 hour ferry.
5 days , I would recommend Thailand, or Bali.
Hope you enjoy HK.
(It depends when you are coming.... winter months are not good for Hainan island, or Macau%26#39;s beaches.) It%26#39;s too cool.
Hong kong 2 weeks? is it too long?As Kate had mentioned, depending on when u r going to HK, your option for a beach vacation varies (either near HK like the Chinese -%26gt;China, or Macau or HK%26#39;s own, or Taiwan%26#39;s and/or the ones in S.E. Asia like Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, etc)
2 weeks is a good amount of time for a first trip to HK, getting to know HK and spending quality time without having to rush thru%26#39; everything (I had spent 2 weeks in Prague last Spring, Prague to me is smaller than HK but like Prague, if u go outside of the city limits, there are so much to be discovered !).
U wont lack activities for your child and yourself in HK. I had spent years and still find things to do whenever I visit ! Below is a great plae to start for all that is a first timer to HK :
