There are direct flights from Guilin to Hong Kong, and you can find them with Mobissimo%26#39;s search engine. My experience when I looked in January was that you paid extra for the privilege of flying directly into HK, so I flew from Guilin to Guangzhou (which I wanted to visit anyway), and returned via the express train from HK. The plane ticket to Guangzhou (one way) is 760Y ($100USD), and train fare was 190HKD one way ($25), while a direct flight from KWL-HKG was about $250. The train takes about 2 hours from Guangzhou, and it%26#39;s about a half hour from the airport to the east train station in Guangzhou. You can also fly into Shenzhen and cross into HK from there by bus. Of course, you can travel by bus or train the whole way from Guilin if you really want to spend time and save money.
