Hi we are a family of 5 (2adults and 3 children aged 2,4,6) I am having trouble finding a guide for 2 days in march (20th and 22nd) We dont want a big tour as the children may get tired but if we had a guide to take us to the must see places then the days can be more fleixable, any help would be great...
Guide
nomiperth1,
You can always hire a local guide through the hotel concierge.
Guide
u can also try :
discoverhongkong.com/eng/鈥ndex.jhtml
Contacting the HKTB and they have a list of available and licensed guide
Or if u like Lonely Planet, one previous writer is now a guide in HK :
http://www.infohub.com/tour_guides/190.html
Or half day tour like :
chinahighlights.com/hongkong/鈥?
Or arrange your own thru an agency :
orientaltravel.com/tours/鈥ong_kong_tour.htm
Good Luck
PS. U will find that any private customized guided tour begins at
US$250 and up for most of the agencies in HK. HK is a very easy city and u can get around very easily without a guide due to efficient, clean and safe public transportation. U dont really need a guide, u can get a cab and go to these places on your own. If u follow the do it yourself walking tours suggested by HKTB, u can stop at any point if the kids get too tired, grab a cab (which is plentiful in HK) and go back to the hotel.

forgot to post this for u which I think is great as u get a nice souvenir at the end of the tour, this is a group tour but they offer half day program and your kids might enjoy this as they get to stretch their legs out in the countryside (rather than the city%26#39;s busy roads) :
