Hello, this is my first time at this forum. My english is not very good, but I will try indeed.
My husband and me have decided to go to China next August. We have seen the web ';www.travelchinaguide.com';, but we do not know anyone who has travelled with them. We are worried about giving them the money (at least a part of it) and not receiving the services we paid for. For us, it would be horrible arriving at Beijing airport and not finding anyone waiting for us, any booking at hotels, etc..
Please, if any of you have travelled with them, could you tell me your experience? And, do you have any suggestion for travelling with them? Travelchinaguide.com is a chineese agency?
And, is it possible to modify the timetables (either you travel in a group, or in a private tour)? for example, going to the great wall early in the morning to avoid crowds.
Thanks, thanks and thanks again.
Does anyone have info about travelchinaguide.com?
You are in Spain, I strongly suggest you deal with a company based in Spain, or within the EU, for consumer protection. travelchinaguide is based in Beijing, as their website indicates. If there is any dispute, are you going to sue them in China? Complain to Chinese officials?
All tours to China can be customized for 2 people and up. All tours in China are handled by several ';official'; agenicies in China such such as ';CITS'; and ';CTS'; (China International Travel Service and China Travel Service).

Ay mummy, you are frightening me! I think you are right, it is better travelling with an spanish agency, but anyway, I wanted to know about this chinese agency in order to decide if we take the risk or not. This chinese agency is the only one that offers us exactly the tour that we want.
I have read all your comments, bad comments about this agency, (ay mummy), but: Have any of you travelled with them?, I mean, Do you have personal experience in China with travelchinaguide.com? Please tell me.
Tomorrow I am going to FITUR. It is a tourist international meeting that takes place once a year in Madrid. I will try to get some information abour chinese agencies, and I will tell you.
Thank you again.
Hi Maicasa,
A few years ago I went to China. I also decided to book directly with an agency in China, so I could arrange everything I wanted to do and see. The trip was a great experience and the agency very trustworthy. I worried about the money too, but I only had to pay 10% online and the rest in China to the agent. So that was safe.
I don%26#39;t remember the name of the company...something with Dragon. I found it on www.travelxs.com. This website is European, so they guarantee safety of money and services.
I don%26#39;t know if this helps you, but have a good holiday!

why you give them money online?you can choose the travel agency in Spain or Eu,also can hire private tour guide from tripadvisor or travelchinaguide, but you can give service fee after their service.so can avoid any trouble, have a nice trip.
Where are you going may I ask? Perhaps if you posted a query about the exact locations you may find out that there are other options other than the one you have investigated. However, I did not use this particular agency - but I did use another Chinese travel agency and they were OK. No problems. Perhaps you can suggest to them that you are only happy to pay a deposit and will pay the rest upon arrival and see if they agree.
I just did a search on that travel agent at this website. There are people who have used them and were satisfied. So suggest you type the name in and read all of the responses.
so many good deals and so many good people with great heart !
the china travel guide is located in Xi%26#39;an.

please let me know if you have somequestions about xi%26#39;an.

Thanks to all of yor.
We have got another agency called China Internacional Travel (CIT, it is not the CITS) which has offices in Madrid and China. We have asked them a quotation. I wish it is OK, I will tell you when I they phone me. The employees are chineese and spanish.
We would like to go to Beijin, Guillin, Yangshuo, Shanghai, Huangshan, and perphaps the three gorges cruise (it depends on the final price). Not Xian.
It is a pity that nobody can tell me his personal experience with travelchinaguide (I think the reports on its web, may be not very reliable), because as its web is fantastic and the travels they offert too, I thought it could be a good chance for us.
Best regards.
