Tung Chung Discount Stores

I%26#39;ve read about Tung Chung%26#39;s outlet stores at the Citygate mall and would like to know if it is worth the visit. Anyone among who who regularly shops there? Saw the list of stores from the citygate website. There%26#39;s Adidas, Nike, Calvin Klein, Giordano, Esprit, Levis, Columbia, Timberland, etc.

But what I%26#39;d like to know is if its really worth it? Would be very disappointed if their prices are just similar as what I can get at Kowloon or Causeway stores...

If you are going to Lantau Island to see the attractions too such as te Ngong Ping cable ride(exceptional) and the Giant outdoor Buddha, then you could make a day of it.

Visited Citygate Mall last Dec 06 with my husband. Yes, it%26#39;s definitely cheaper. My husband was able to get lots of stuff there..Giordano shirts, jackets, Nike shoes, etc. The Esprit store is big too and had a lot of discounts. I personally didn%26#39;t shop much bec I was tired from walking. But my husband said it was a lot cheaper than getting from Kowloon and Causeway. One more thing, most stuff on sale are autumn/winter clothes. Since we don%26#39;t need those here Mla, we didn%26#39;t really shop much.

Hi xiantraveller! Yup we%26#39;ve planned to go try Ngong Ping 360, but based on most posts regarding the long lines, Citygate might be an alternative to spend our time in the area.

Thanks HotMama! What I was worrying about is that there might be more stuff for women than men there. If your husband was able to buy a lot of stuff there, then I%26#39;m sure it will be a winner for me!

No No you must go on the cable car!!! You will just have to put up with the queues. When we were there only one month after its opening we were in the queue for about 5 minutes. You could be lucky too. Get there early and not on a weekend. DO NOT MISS THIS for the sake of shopping. The views are fantastic and the cable car is a magnificent engineering feat. For some people this is one of the best attractions in Hong KOng. It is far better than the Peak Tram.
