Shuttle Airport (PVG) to Bund Riverside Hotel (Beijing Rd.E

Hello, I am from Argentina and be visiting Shanghai by the begining of April, first of all, I would like to know wich is the best way to go to my Hotel (Bund Riverside at Beijing Rd E) from the PVG Airport and the cost of it. Although would like to know if there are interesting places to eat or drink near my hotel.

Thank you very much.

Shuttle Airport (PVG) to Bund Riverside Hotel (Beijing Rd.E

For the ultimate cheapest way to get to your hotel, take airport shuttle no.5 to Shanghai main train station (18 RMB, 1-1.5 hours) and then change to bus no.64 (2 RMB, 15-30 mins) and walk from there. However, I think anyone doing this would be seriously masochistic or very broke! Also not easy to navigate if you have no knowledge of Chinese and/or on your 1st visit to Shanghai. Thus I don%26#39;t think this would be recommendable for your situation.

You could take airport shuttle no.2 to the CAAC office next to Jing%26#39;an Temple on Nanjing Xilu (19 RMB, 1-1.5 hours) and then change to a taxi to your hotel (15-20 RMB, 15-30 mins). I think this would be the best balance of time and cost.

If you really don%26#39;t have much luggage, and arrive between 0630 and 2030, you could take the Maglev (40 RMB if you show your plane ticket, 7-8 mins) to Longyang Lu metro stop and then change to the metro. The maximum speed for the Maglev is 431 km/h (which only sustains for less than 30 seconds of the ride) except during 0702--0817 and 1747--2102, when it%26#39;s 300 km/h maximum. Get off at Nanjing Donglu metro stop (4 RMB, no need to change lines) and walk for about 10 mins to your hotel. I do NOT recommend taking a taxi directly from the Longyang Lu metro stop to your hotel.

The road that your hotel is on is mostly full of hardware shops, nothing that you would really find interesting eating. However it%26#39;s about 10 mins walk to Nanjing Lu pedestrian street. Some of my favourite places to eat in that area would be Heaven on Earth at 627 Jiujiang Lu (1 street further than Nanjing Lu pedestrian street, from your hotel) and the restaurants and food court in Raffles Plaza at People%26#39;s Square.

Email me at ellyse99@yahoo.com (please put ';TripAdvisor leop_argentina_'; in the subject line, thanks) if you have any more questions about food, transport or whatever; I%26#39;m studying in Shanghai.
