PLEASE HELPMetropark Causeway Bay or Harbour Plaza Hong Kong

I have a choice of a Harbour View room in Metropark or Courtyard room In Harbour Plaza. Which hotel is in the best place for views, convenience to eating out at night, transport. I feel that the harbour View room will have a much nicer outlook, but is it worth it over the other choice of hotel.

Have you thought about the Salisbury? [read the reviews on this site] we have stayed there before and are staying again this year,if you go for a Harbour view room on a high floor it will cost you about 拢75 per night for a twin room, you get a great view over the harbour,a perfect view of the lightshow and you are only two minutes from the Star ferry and two or three minutes from TST MTR Station.

The hotel is next door to the Peninsula on the Star ferry side and though it is owned by the YMCA don%26#39;t let that put you off,it%26#39;s a great hotel.

Thanks for that info. I have only certain availability for the time I have to travel and have narrowed it down to these two hotels.

If you intend to see more of TST and Kowloon, then Harbour Plaza should be the better choice since the hotel does have a frequent shuttle bus to TST, and taxi should cost no more than $30. The hotel is located in a residential area that is somewhat quieter, but the area still has some good dining options frequented by the locals. The Harbour Plaza is also supposed to be a higher-end hotel.

If you intend to stay in HK Island and also would like to be in the middle of everything, then perhaps Metropark is a better choice. The heart of Causeway Bay, where shopping and dining options are virtually unlimited, is a 10 minute walk from the hotel or a tram ride of less than 5 minutes. Going to TST on the MTR should also take no more than 20 minutes from the Tin Hau Station across the street. Of course, you will have the benefit of the harbour view room here.
