Has anyone ever been to Magnificent International Plaza %26amp; Hotel, Shanghai(上海华美国际酒店)??
I%26#39;ve been reading up mixed reviews of this place (such as they charge extra in their rooms for internet connection).
Is there anything comparable to Magnificent International Plaza %26amp; Hotel, Shanghai(上海华美国际酒店) 3 to 4 star rating in the same area??

Yes, I have, along with a traveller who works as a Reuters correspondent who needed constant, reliable Internet access. We were sorely disappointed as the Internet access cost 60 RMB/day and yet still didn%26#39;t work for most of the time!
Do you need free Internet access in your room? What%26#39;s your budget like and when are you staying?

Thanks for responding so quickly Ellyse!
I%26#39;m going to be staying in Shanghai from 7/13 - 7/17. I%26#39;d like to stay around People%26#39;s Park area, as it%26#39;s the center of the city.
I would prefer to stay at a place that has free broadband internet connection in the room. My price range is between $30-$50 (240 - 400 RMB) a night.
Hmmm, the best one I could think of at the moment would be Jiujiu Holiday Hotel which is near Xintiandi, just 1 metro stop away from People%26#39;s Square. If you need me to check out the discounted prices, drop me an email at ellyse99@yahoo.com and do remember to put ';TripAdvisor Gemelle'; in the subject line so that I don%26#39;t junk your email by mistake, thanks.
