From HK to Macau - Turbojet or Ferry?

My family of 6 would like to do a Macau day trip whilst visiting HK in late March. In HK, we will be staying in Mong Kok at that time, so I think the First Ferry (Tsimshatsui) is more convenient to for us to access. I believe both are about the same in price. However I do have other questions that will help in my decision making:

1. Do both of them take the same amount of time to get to Macau and back? I know that the Turbojet takes about an hour, but the First Ferry site didn%26#39;t indicate how long each commute will take.

2. Are both of them comparable when it comes to their interior? They both %26#39;appear%26#39; to look pretty good on their websites, but is there one cleaner/nicer than the others?

Thanks to all of the help I get.

From HK to Macau - Turbojet or Ferry?

We took First Ferry from Macau to TSM(HK) last August...very convenient, comfortable, clean and not crowded! There were plenty of room for luggage and room for our legs to strech out( my friend%26#39;s tall). It took an alittle over an hour I believe because that%26#39;s because the water/winds were rough due to impending light level typhoon.

Both Turbojet and First Ferry takes about 1 hour. Maximum 1 hour nad 15 minutes depending on the wind direction and weather.

First Ferry have upgraded their catamarans. So far, each time I took the First Ferry.... they are always like brand new catamarans. Very comfortable and stable except for the first 5 minutes leaving the pier and arriving the pier. a little more rocky.

My guests commented how surprised they were at how beautiful the ships were.

Turbojet actually are older ships.... sometimes you get the older ones. Not always.

Turbojet departs from SheungWan, and every 15 minutes. First Ferry departs every 30 minutes from TST.

From Mongkok, definitely take First Ferry.

Thanks to both of you for your replies.

By the way, will you be able to tell me what%26#39;s the best way for 6 of us in the group to get to the First Ferry Terminal from Metropark Kowloon (Waterloo Road)? At 8 or 9am on a weekday, is it better to :

a) Take the MTR from Mong Kok to Jordan station and walk from there to the terminal (train maybe very crowded at rush hour and long walk); or

b) Take 2 taxis from the hotel to the pier (will the traffic be even worse than being crowded on the MTR)?

Please advise. Thanks.
