Hotel Rooms or Serviced Apartments

We are a party of 5 (4 adults + 1 child) and we will be staying in HK for 10 nights. We are wondering which option will be better and which hotel will have this type of accomdation and how much should we budget for this. (Tentative dates: Dec 20th - Dec 30, 2007)

Either:

1. Just 2 regular hotel rooms in a hotel for 10 nights

2. Hotels that offers 2 bedroom suites in one unit.

3. Serviced apartment with 2 bedrooms

I know there are some hotels that offer long stay packages for 7 nights and up, so which hotel can offer any of the above options and good value.

Thanks for any suggestion/recommendations...

Hotel Rooms or Serviced Apartments

HK hotels will be really expensive for a 2 bedroom suites (a normal one bedroom suite begins at US$755 at the JW marriott) but i do know some 3 or 4 * hotels have 2 bedrooms eg. Holiday Inn Golden Mile, Renaissance Harbourview, Renaissance Kowloon, Cosmo.

If u want interconnecting rooms, I would try Marco Polo. It really all depends on your budget. Like any other city in the world, u can find all the options but it depends on location. Kowloon is a better priced area than HK Island in general.

A good place is Lanson :

Or for serviced apartments, these past discussions should help :

PS. for connecting rooms in a hotel, u can check prices at asiabesthotel.com (a website I had used for a number of years now and they really do have the best prices around as well as excellent service)

Hotel Rooms or Serviced Apartments

Hello JK,

As you have 4 adults, basically two rooms are the best for you. Below is the webiste which provide the guests the service apartment, price is quite attractive and it is convenient and nice. You can try to contact them and book through them.

If you stay in Hong Kong for more than few days, staying in service apartment is always better than hotel as it is more relax and even you can cook, hope it helps

Thanks for all the response so far...

Regarding hotel rooms, does anyone know which hotel may have 2 bedroom suites in one unit? Just wondering if this configuration will be cheaper than getting 2 individual hotel rooms.

I know there are also some hotels have long stay packages for 7 days and up. Since we are there for approx 10 days, which one would be a good bet?

Thanks...

JK
