Hotels

Shall be stoping over in Hong Kong sometime in next month with wife and two teenage daughters. We will need a hotel for two or three nights. 3* would be fine. Can anybody recommend a good hotel and also suggest an itinerary for this stop-over. Are there organised tours available or are we better to use the MRT and get around ourselves. Many thanks.

i always stay in causeway bay or wan chai as i like staying on the isalnd the excelisor is my fav for location but it is getting a bit tired but location a huge plus

i always take new people ona half day island tour so they learn about the hsitory etc takes in peak aberdeen sampan ride etc but a lot of thsi you can do yourself

if it is clear head to the peak especially at night view is breathtaking

be on kowloon side at 8pm to see night light show

mong kok for your wife e and daughters at night for markets

tmeple street also great sunglasses

get an octopus card for travelling yes you need one each

ride the trams up front and watch the world go by

eat where the locals do

dont forget to check in for your return flight in town at the airport central stations so you dont spend ages at the aiport and you can have more time in town on your last day with jsut your hand luggage

give disney a miss nothign that exciting
